On June 26, Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) and Taiwan Chemical Fiber Corporation established a joint research center. The unveiling ceremony was held on the same day at the Innovation Building of MCUT, with Assistant General Manager Zeng Jin-Qin of Taiwan Chemical Fiber Corporation, President Liu Zu-Hua of MCUT, Secretary-General Zhou Jin-Wan, Vice President for Research and Development Chen Sheng-Ji, Director Li Zhi-Wei, and Professor Huang Zong-Yu jointly unveiling the plaque. This collaboration aims to accelerate the application and upgrade of new technologies at MCUT and enhance talent cultivation.
MCUT has demonstrated remarkable performance in industry-academia collaboration, continually improving its research capabilities. Following the establishment of the Biochemical Engineering Technology R&D Center with Advanced Technology, Inc. and the Organic Electronics Research Center with Formosa Biomedical Technology and WiseChip Semiconductor in the 2023 academic year, this year, the Plasma and Thin Film Technology Center has formed a joint research center with Taiwan Chemical Fiber Corporation. The university is committed to promoting the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Sprout Project, planning joint research centers and pilot production bases, which have evolved MCUT from a research and educational institution to a university that links with industry and has become a renowned technology university known for international industry-academia collaboration. In the future, MCUT will focus on integrating across disciplines based on international trends, aiming to position itself as an international research and development university that connects students directly with industry and aligns with global standards.
Through the establishment of joint research centers and pilot production bases, MCUT and various enterprises have built a collaborative platform that provides an innovative environment conducive to technology implementation, further promoting academic exchange and collaborative research. These centers and bases will bring together experts and researchers to jointly conduct research and pilot production planning for materials, components, and systems, driving industry innovation and the development of practical technologies.
The joint research centers and pilot production bases established by MCUT and its corporate partners support innovative R&D projects with state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment, anticipating new opportunities, the introduction of comprehensive resources, and the joint development of cutting-edge technologies in the future!
