Invitation to Semiconductor Equipment Technology Research Teams to Apply for the TSIA Semiconductor Equipment Innovation Award

To encourage students to engage in innovation in semiconductor equipment and key technologies, while gaining practical experience and strengthening connections with industry, we sincerely invite students to participate in the “TSIA Semiconductor Equipment Innovation Award”, organized by the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA).

The award recognizes outstanding Ph.D. students, master’s students, and research teams that are actively engaged in research, invention, or optimization related to semiconductor equipment, or that have actively collaborated with industry and made concrete contributions.

For this event, Mr. Liang You-Wen, General Manager of C SUN MFG. CO., LTD., has been specially invited to personally provide recommendation letters for students from our university who intend to participate in the competition. The relevant application materials will be centrally collected and compiled by the Industry Development Center, Office of Research and Development, and then submitted to General Manager Liang for recommendation.

1. Eligibility

Students and research teams at our university who meet one of the following criteria are eligible to apply:

• Ph.D. students who have passed their doctoral qualifying examination.
• Master’s students engaged in research related to innovation or optimization of semiconductor equipment.
• Research groups (laboratories) engaged in innovation or optimization of semiconductor equipment.

2. Submission Method and Deadline

Please carefully review the relevant requirements under Section 9 of the Application Guidelines, and complete the application form and recommendation letter documents.

Please submit the required documents by Friday, January 30, via email to:

All submitted materials will be centrally collected and compiled by the Industry Development Center, Office of Research and Development, and then forwarded to Mr. Liang You-Wen, General Manager of C SUN MFG. CO., LTD., for recommendation.

Once the recommendation letter has been completed, applicants will be notified separately to proceed with the formal online application and document upload process.
