Ming Chi University of Technology has been honored with the "Outstanding Industry-Academia Collaboration Award" at the 113th Annual Joint Conference of the Chinese Institute of Engineers and various specialized engineering societies! This marks the tenth time MCUT has received this prestigious award. The theme of this year’s conference was "Engineering Leadership for Sustainable Smart Manufacturing." The award was presented by CIE Chairman Yang Zheng-Hong at the award ceremony held at the Regent Taipei on June 6, 2024, with Vice President for Research and Development Chen Sheng-Ji leading the entire Industry-Academia Collaboration Development Center team. Vice President Hsiao Mei-Chin attended the ceremony and delivered a congratulatory speech.
According to the Times Higher Education (THE) 2023 World University Rankings, MCUT’s industry-academia collaboration ranking improved globally to 348th, and its research environment ranking rose to 750th. Additionally, according to the 2023 statistics released by the Ministry of Education on the average funding received by faculty members for industry-academia collaboration projects in universities of science and technology nationwide, MCUT ranked first among all universities of science and technology. Statistics from the Industry-Academia Collaboration Development Center show that in 2023, the average funding per faculty member for such projects was approximately NTD 940,000, with a compound annual growth rate of 17% over the past six years. These achievements are the result of the collective efforts of the entire university community. We will continue to share this honor and strive for excellence.
